HUB ON CAMPUS TEMPE
The latest hospitality-inspired student housing concept with best-in-class amenities, a sense of community, and a focus on wellness.
Like any college town, Tempe, AZ, has a growing thirst for market-driven rental housing to accommodate its young, active residents looking for amenities, a sense of community, and a focus on wellness. Enter the Hub on Campus, a national brand that offers furnished apartments, an alluring amenities package, 24/7 fitness, and social/study spaces, all steps from campus.
The Hub on Campus Tempe, developed through a joint venture of Core Spaces and Wexford Developments, is a mixed-use, 30-story community that brings 818 units just one block from Arizona State University’s main campus and Mill Avenue, the area’s premier entertainment district.
RSP’s design response strikes a balance between the area’s history and active, community-forward future. Located on a prominent site which once included the historic Harry Walker House—home to the beloved House of Tricks restaurant—the project carefully relocated the house a block away. The design also integrates the historic sanctuary of the First Congregational Church, whose roots on the site date to 1899.
A series of interconnected volumes helps to break down the development’s massing and creates social and public areas for human interaction. At the street level, ground floor retail and a 5,000-SF café offer vibrance and constant activity. Native landscaping and street furniture create an urban park-like feel that seems only fitting for a college town.
A dynamic, fifth-floor amenity deck features a fitness center, tenant lounge, co-working and a large outdoor space with pool. The amenity deck, soon to be the place to be seen, provides captivating views to the activated street below and downtown Tempe beyond.
Currently under construction, Hub on Campus Tempe is set to open in summer 2028.
