Mountain Modern Sedona
Elevated design for the outdoor adventurer
Mountain Modern Sedona invites guests into a landscape defined by red rock horizons and creative energy. As an independent lifestyle brand, the hotel is actively defining its own voice and position in the market, leaning into a spirit of adventure. RSP shaped the concept through full architecture, interiors, and environmental graphic design that align brand, place, and experience without the constraints of a global flag. Oversized rooms and suites span eight buildings and connect to a central lobby and The Den, a restaurant and social hub that welcomes travelers throughout the day.
Crystal Creek Capital partnered with RSP after their Jackson Hole property resonated with travelers who love the outdoors. Sedona offered a new context and a new audience. Unlike traditional hospitality projects tied to established hotel brands, this collaboration focused on refining an emerging identity and building recognition through design. The team translated the original brand ethos of accessibility and modern utility into a design that foregrounds local character. The project expanded from a light renovation into a full transformation of guestrooms and public spaces. The lobby showcases regional makers and desert adventure culture, while The Den introduces a central bar, flexible seating zones, and a local coffee program.
Every design decision supports the guest journey. The Mountain Modern Gear Box display, Boardwalk carpet tiles, and wellness suites with Peloton bikes reflect the raw spirit of outdoor pursuits with contemporary comfort. Together, these elements help define a distinctive lifestyle brand that stands apart from conventional, large-scale hotel portfolios. The result presents a cohesive hotel rooted in Sedona’s natural beauty and creative culture.
