Welcoming Beame to the RSP family (Video)
RSP was founded over 40 years ago in Minneapolis and ever since, we have only expanded when the opportunity made the firm better. For instance, our Phoenix and Rochester offices were opened to better serve existing clients while Fort Worth and Baltimore added specific expertise. All four are successful operations in their own right and have strengthened RSP. So we are excited to announce a new addition to the RSP family that improves our firm’s expertise in retail, entertainment and hospitality and expands our geographic reach. Beame Architectural Partnership, based in Miami, is now part of RSP.
To learn more about Beame, we asked Director of Business Development, Roberto Zarvos Linhares, what he thought of the merger. Hobi, as he is known, has been part of the Beame family for years, representing the firm across the Southeastern U.S., Central and South America, and the Caribbean. He’s often in the position of introducing the firm to others so we asked him to share his initial impressions of RSP as well as what RSP should know about Beame.
Q: What does joining RSP mean to the Beame team?
A: It means access to a diversity of design expertise, specialty services and business acumen, yet still function as a family. For our employees, being part of such a great national organization expands their career and growth opportunities.
Q: What does the news mean to Beame’s clients?
A: RSP brings a tremendous amount of resources, in terms of experience and knowledge in a variety of fields that we never explored before. One I find interesting is healthcare. Mixed-use developments are becoming more dynamic and healthcare is an increasingly important part of that mix. We can now integrate our retail experience with RSP’s healthcare knowledge and deliver great projects for our clients.
Q: What do you want existing RSP clients to know about Beame?
A: Our many years of international involvement, learning from different people in different countries, gives us a design diversity which is really quite unique. We’ve learned to respect to a variety of cultures, opinions, and processes. All have contributed to our success and kept us humble. Delivering a project that improves people’s lives, sometimes in far away places and underprivileged communities, has spiritual meaning for our team. There’s a deep sense of purpose and meaning in the work we do.
Q: What new doors does this open for both RSP and Beame?
A: We can explore the world, contribute to communities that aren’t as fortunate as ourselves, and bring creative uniqueness to America.
Q: What inspires you, personally, about this news?
A: At this point in my career, I’ve traveled the world, worked and communicated in a variety of languages and cultures, learned about and contributed to communities throughout the Americas and Caribbean, and now… all of a sudden, there’s so much more for me to explore within RSP. I feel re-energized and the tank is full, ready to go.
