Finance & Commerce announces Top Projects of 2017
By Finance and Commerce, May 2018
Minnesota was bustling with construction activity in 2017, with significant projects completed from Duluth to Rochester and across the Twin Cities metro area. An independent panel selected 33 honorees for Finance & Commerce’s annual Top Projects.
The projects include the Minnesota Capitol restoration in St. Paul, the Target Center renovation in Minneapolis and the revitalization of the NorShor Theatre in Duluth. To be eligible, the projects had to be fully completed by the end of 2017.
A panel of judges looked at the degree of difficulty, creativity in design, innovative construction techniques, cooperation among contractors and management, and sustainability efforts.
The projects will be featured in a magazine and in a series of stories and photos in the Finance & Commerce daily newspaper and on our website starting in July. The people and companies behind the projects also will be honored at a July 26 event at the Nicollet Island Pavilion.
