RSP ANNOUNCES PROMOTIONS
The promotions showcase the firm’s expanded services and reach.
MINNEAPOLIS (24 March 2020) – RSP recently announced the promotion of several employees to Associate, Senior Associate, Associate Principal and Principal. These promotions reflect the growth of the firm and an expansion of services and expertise.
PRINCIPAL
Matt Lilly, AIA, CSI, CCA, Senior Project Manager: Matt is one of our most experienced senior project managers with more than 30 years in the industry managing complex project types including medical labs, clean rooms, data centers, corporate headquarters and more.
Cheri Welch, Controller: As RSP’s Controller, Cheri supervises our accounting staff and manages the firm’s financial records. She’s been with RSP for 20 years and has a total of 35 years of experience in the financial industry.
ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL
Scott Aspenson, AIA, NCARB, Senior Design Architect: Scott manages the corporate architectural team in our Minneapolis office. A group that is responsible for the design of national workplaces as well as tenant improvements and specialty spaces. He regularly leads design discussions for the entire firm as well.
Thom Lasley, Senior Project Designer: A prolific designer, Thom heads up the design team in our Fort Worth office. He is involved in workplace, retail and hospitality projects and is currently contributing to the design of several urban small format stores for a national client.
Jackie Peacha, Creative Director: Jackie manages the firm’s internal and external communications as well as client projects. She leads monthly all employee meetings for the firm, directs and produces our video stories and photography and collaborates with clients on everything from branded signage programs to interactive historical displays.
Rhonda Small, FMP, Business Analyst: A business analyst and facility information management expert, Rhonda manages RSP’s i_SPACE team which is dedicated to property and facility management. She helps clients implement and manage sophisticated software systems that improve facility management and operations.
SENIOR ASSOCIATES
Scott Fay, AIA, NCARB, CDP, LEED AP, Senior Project Manager: Scott has been with RSP in our Fort Worth office for eight years now. He manages large, complex distribution center projects as well as national retail roll-out programs. With 28 years of experience, Scott has a deep knowledge of building systems, jurisdictional regulations and code requirements after delivering over 2,500 projects in all 50 states.
David Herbert, RA, Senior Project Design Architect: David specializes in the planning and design of large-scale mixed-use developments. As a design lead in our Miami office, David also works internationally with several projects in Central and South America.
Liana Jameson, CID, IIDA, LEED Green Associate, Senior Project Interior Designer: The design lead for a national corporate client, Liana has completed over one million square feet of corporate workplace with an emphasis on mobility programs. She’s currently working with real estate teams on plans for the workplace of the future, spaces in which multiple generations have ever-increasing mobility, technology and more.
Becky Sonmore, Interiors Project Manager: With more than 20 years of experience, the past eight at RSP, Becky is a seasoned professional who understands all phases of corporate design. She helps manage our corporate interiors team with a specialization in tenant improvement work.
ASSOCIATES
Melany Bjorkman, CID, NCIDQ, IIDA, Project Interior Designer: Melany works in our Rochester, MN office and has a growing expertise in health and life sciences projects. Her work with the Mayo Clinic includes high-tech lab spaces as well as pharmacies, clinic and administration spaces.
Megan Cupery, NCIDQ, Senior Project Interior Designer: During Megan’s 12 years at RSP, she’s worked in several studios including government and retail. She’s currently a member of the corporate interiors team where her versatility is invaluable on tenant improvements and building repositioning work.
Elizabeth Falls, Payroll Administrator: Elizabeth has been an integral member of RSP’s accounting team for 16 years. She works closely with our Controller and Senior Human Resources Manager to ensure seamless delivery of expense checks and payroll to our nearly 500 employees worldwide.
Erin Hamilton, Content Marketing Strategist: Educated as an architect and interior designer, Erin joined RSP’s marketing team seven years ago as a graphic designer. Her strategic thinking, management strengths and understanding of the industry give her a unique edge in managing RSP’s multiple digital platforms.
Joe Harman, PE, LEED Green Associate, Senior Engineer: Joe has over ten years of experience in the engineering industry and is an integral part of the RSP Mission Critical team in our Baltimore office. He provides mechanical design and BIM support on some of the most complex facilities we design.
Shahrzad Mirshahidi, Project Manager: With more than ten years of experience, Shaz is an accomplished architect specializing in hospitality. She’s currently managing the construction of two of our largest projects in Miami – the repositioning of a mixed-use development in the heart of Coconut Grove and a modern international hotel with 150 rooms in West Palm Beach.
Mary Mustonen, Interiors Project Manager: Mary has 34 years of experience as an interiors program manager with an emphasis in retail. That experience is invaluable as she manages a national roll-out program for a Fortune 50 client. On any given day, Mary has projects in every phase across multiple U.S. cities.
Beth Nelson, Administrative Assistant: Beth ensures one of RSP’s largest and busiest teams run smoothly day in and day out. Supporting more than 40 people, she manages schedules, travel, hospitality and meetings for this dynamic corporate design team. She also helps manage several other large RSP events and meetings.
Jeremi Van Wave, LEED AP, BD+C, WELL AP, GGP, FITWEL, Sustainability Specialist: With a decade of experience under his belt, Jeremi joined our Phoenix office three years ago as a project designer. He has since demonstrated a passion and expertise in sustainability and wellbeing. He provides LEED administration, energy modeling and analysis, daylight simulations, whole building LCA and helps determine the economic impact of selected building systems and architectural features on facility operations.
