RSP’s Fortune 500 banking client needed to update their national portfolio and appeal to the next generation entering the workforce in droves—Gen Z. By highlighting financial learning, community involvement and a comfortable experience, RSP’s design and strategy are driven by customer experience touchpoints and ultimate convenience.
With more than 3,000 locations varying from ground-up branches to renovations, RSP’s prototype design kit empowers customers with a retail-led experience. Transparency and lighting play a crucial role in creating the storefront, drawing in customers before they even step foot inside the bank. In flagship locations, glazing is carefully positioned to connect to the surrounding community and offer ample daylight. On the interior, the client engagement spaces and layout balance privacy with open zones to facilitate different interactions between guests and customer service. A customer lounge, digital discovery center, café and community room aim to retain and build brand loyalty.
Employees are also a top priority in the design kit, with off-stage areas for staff to relax, train and handle non-customer facing paperwork. This tiered design solution supports the brand’s expanding business needs and bakes flexibility into the portfolio for anything the future may hold.
