RSP’s work with this growing state university began in 2020 with a long-range needs assessment and investment strategy for meeting the institution’s data capacity and resiliency targets. The team recently completed phase one of the 10-year plan—the renovation and upgrade of an existing on-campus data center.
Between faculty, colocation and HPC servers, the data center supports IT enhanced Tier II resiliency. The team was challenged to maintain the center’s operations while the upgrades were made. In addition, the complexities of working within a tight space required creativity and precision planning.
Going above and beyond, RSP developed an operations “playbook” for the University’s team, including user-friendly dashboards and color-coded graphics that help simplify the facility’s sophisticated systems.
