CBX Branding Agency
Comfortable. Connected. Surprised.
That’s how CBX wants their staff and clients to feel when entering their new office. Sitting atop the historic Renaissance Square building in downtown Minneapolis, the colorful, playful and light-filled workspace accurately reflects the unique branding agency that occupies the floor.
It’s a vast departure from what existed previously. For CBX and Renaissance Square. Prior to the move downtown, CBX’s Minneapolis staff worked in fairly generic space in the suburbs. And the 10th floor of Renaissance Square was empty, dark and a bit dingy. Enter the RSP design team who listened to the agency’s needs, honored their creative process, and found an ideal match between business and building.
CBX wanted hip, unexpected space full of amenities and flexible for growth. They wanted open collaboration with options for privacy. Fun, active space for team meetings and quiet, contemplative areas for individual inspiration. And they wanted an urban vibe, a sense of history, grit and context.
They got all that and more. With a vibrant, open “living room” taking center stage, showcasing the heart of CBX’s creative process. A series of brand “war” rooms frame the space with bright red barn doors, multi-media options and plenty of pin-up space. The rooms can easily be closed off for privacy or wide open to share. The creative team works in open office space near-by while account managers line the back of the floor in semi-private spaces. A glass-lined center atrium visually connects the two groups, reinforcing CBX values. A hidden conference room, roof top deck and kitchen with a keg provide a few surprises.
In the space since summer 2017, CBX execs report the agency is thriving. There’s a buzz of activity throughout and employees feel energized and inspired by their surroundings.
