ASU Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Mirabella
Multi-generational learning, a commitment to higher education and a love for the arts all converge at the Mirabella at ASU. RSP worked closely with ASU and the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts (HIDA) on the design for the 10,000-GSF arts space that sits on the ground floor of the Tempe intergenerational retirement building. The Mirabella at ASU brings together different project types, generations of people and perspectives while embedding the ASU art and design program within the wider community.
RSP created the Design Studio as a place for students to work on projects, study, and meet with faculty and staff. The Art Core Classroom is primarily used as a learning space and is equipped with multimedia technology to ensure flexibility and adaptability. The Gallery Space, a truly multipurpose area that can transform to support events and large gatherings, is designed to showcase and celebrate student work.
