AC Hotel Phoenix Biltmore
Curating an experience
Immediately upon entering the new 160-key Marriott AC Hotel Phoenix Biltmore, guests are greeted with an expansive lobby punctuated by distinct areas of activity. Perhaps one of the most surprising elements is the exposed concrete columns which bring an industrial aesthetic into the timeless design identity of the brand. Contrasting and bringing softness to the concrete and continuous planes of floor-to-ceiling glass, are a variety of seating options which provide choice. From the bar to the library and lounge, all areas have views to celebrate the surrounding desert and mountain landscape that make Phoenix and the Biltmore area unique.
Centrally located in the ground floor is a four-sided bar with deeply veined Brazilian stone, creating a focal point for guests and a symbolic heart of hotel. This area becomes activated first thing in the morning with a European style breakfast complete with prosciutto sliced to order. The activity never stops with co-working during daytime and in the evening as a social hub connecting the bar to the outdoor firepit; allowing guests to truly celebrate the indoor/outdoor connection that brings people to Arizona.
Throughout the lobby and rooms, guests will find unexpected artful moments. Because of this curated experience, visitors get to engage with a variety of mixed-medium art showcasing what desert contemporary means today and connecting them to the culture of the city. Locally based RSP Architects was interior designer and architect on this new hotel which is the first ground-up hotel built in the Camelback Corridor in the past 30 years.
