Illustrating the importance of great design.
If you want to learn about Victor J. Irizarry, Senior Associate and architectural designer in RSP’s Phoenix office, read “The Little Prince.” As a designer, comic book illustrator and drawing teacher, his favorite book speaks volumes about his relationship to design. In his own comic books, a powerful imagination are his character’s superpowers. There is always more beneath the surface in his stories. That also translates into his work as a design architect. He loves projects that push the envelope and that solve problems in creative ways. One important thing to know about Victor is that he loves sketching. So much so that he teaches an elective of his own creation, Looking, Thinking, Sketching. He was also a guest artist at the 2019 Phoenix Comicon where he shared with people the importance of art and storytelling. Another is that he believes trust between the client and architect is crucial to a successful project. No matter the scope of his work, Victor strives to add function, beauty and elegance to his projects. And always a touch of imagination.
