Global explorer. Designer. Early riser.
To say David Rova’s portfolio is impressive is putting it mildly. His work spans the globe, touching many unique cultures. A designer with over 35 years of experience, his impact can be found from San Diego to Santiago, New York to Jakarta, and Minneapolis to Moscow. His project experience is certainly diverse in nature but anchors itself in two distinct areas: healing and learning environments. He specializes in complex healthcare, education and corporate developments, while capitalizing on his ability to focus on the individuality of each opportunity to create something extraordinary within its own unique context. When he talks about his work, it is obvious how much he loves great design. But even more, he loves working with people and places to reach beyond their expectations through innovative, functional, and beautiful projects.
A Minnesota native, he has now come full circle. He completed his B.A. in Architecture from the University of Minnesota and began his career in the industry right here. Now, a few decades and several countries later, he is back in his home state. This time as an Associate Principal and Program Director at RSP. He will represent the firm and help manage the process and potential of the firm’s largest and most complex projects. How does he have the energy to keep putting out great work? He swears by his early morning routine; including a brisk, long walk with his dog around the lake near his home. With his portfolio, engaging personality and great attitude, maybe we should all become early risers as well.
