Bill Wittrock

Art materials are never far away from Bill’s workspace. He reaches for them constantly to illustrate his thought process. It’s a skill he’s developed since he was young. And started with a fascination with buildings and the construction process. He was captivated by how the pieces came together to form a whole. Realizing an architect was behind the design solidified his career path. Today, Bill is an award-winning designer with over three decades of experience. His expertise is in retail and large-scale mixed-use development. Projects like West End in St. Louis Park, MN. CityPlace in Woodbury, MN. Bell Tower Shops in Ft. Myers, FL. And plenty more. Bill has won numerous awards, including the Minnesota Shopping Center Association’s STARR Award, the Minneapolis Committee on the Urban Environment’s CUE Award,  and the National Association of Industrial and Office Park’s Award of Excellence. A witty character with an appreciation for classic rock, Bill ‘s design philosophy is that it’s ok to fail forward. To test new ideas and push boundaries. Yet, he never loses sight of the client. His advice to his team – “remember that the design is not about you, it’s about the clients and the end-users, don’t forget that.”
