RSP Names New Principals
National architecture practice strengthens its leadership team with principal appointments.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN – February 6, 2025 – RSP, the national architecture and design practice, has named Mike Duffy and Katie Petersen as principals, a move that reflects the firm’s growth and success over the last year and re-confirms a clear path for the future.

Burnett, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, RSP’s President and CEO. “Mike is a clear, compelling design voice and Katie is one of our strongest client relationship professionals. Together they reflect RSP’s bedrock in creative problem-solving and fierce client service. Mike and Katie will play an important role in shaping our future.”
Mike Duffy, AIA, NCARB brings curiosity and an expansive approach to the design of innovative, mission-driven projects. On efforts like The Beam on Farmer, the first project in Phoenix to use cross-laminated timber, his work prioritizes user well-being and diverse communities through sustainability, trauma-informed design, and supportive design concepts.
Katie Petersen is a key client relationship manager who has played an integral role on RSP’s Corporate Accounts team since 2016, working with some of the firm’s most sophisticated clients. Katie combines a passion for planning, process, and people – nurturing relationships and mentoring the next generation of client advocates at RSP.
