The mission of the Camp Parks Reserve Forces Training Area is to provide quality installation services to enable Total Force readiness. In order to provide the best possible services, an old 1950s building at was in dire need of an upgrade.
RSP designed a new, modern facility to replace the old wooden building. The facility consists of two parts: a Regional Training Site (RTS) Medical area as well as an Army Reserve Center (ARC). The RTS medical portion of the building provides specialized medical training as well as a bio-medical maintenance shop. A clinical skills training room is equipped with lighting control, a sound system and theater smoke to provide various types of training conditions. The ARC houses offices and administration areas along with an arms vault.
The building provides increased efficiency of space and function for military personnel and was designed to achieve LEED Silver Certification.
