Erik Lucken joins as Director of Workplace Strategy
MINNEAPOLIS MN (09 July 2018) – Ranked as one of the country’s largest office architecture firms, Erik Lucken joins RSP as Director of Workplace Strategy with a goal to align and strengthen the firm’s growing national practice. Lucken will collaborate with design teams across RSP’s five offices to further elevate the process and connect design to organizational goals.
“The design industry has made great strides in understanding the power of the workplace, but I believe there’s much more to learn,” said Lucken. “There’s an enormous opportunity to dive deeper and make stronger connections between the workplace and business goals. I’m looking forward to working across RSP’s offices and project teams, to improve our process, share lessons learned, and help clients establish bold visions for what their own workplace can do to support success.”
Most recently a design strategist with Gensler, Lucken has focused his career on workplace, with a specific emphasis on research. Leveraging both quantitative and qualitative research, Lucken has published insights into workplace trends such as mobility and wellbeing.
“Erik’s point-of-view on the workplace is refreshing,” said David Serrano, AIA, RSP Principal. “He’s a big thinker who asks thoughtful questions, leads by listening and connects dots to elevate design solutions. His influence and involvement will span across RSP’s teams and offices, positively influencing our approach to design. It’s an exciting addition at a time when our clients are searching for distinctive, customized solutions to more than just space problems.”
Lucken will base out of RSP’s Minneapolis headquarters. He joins a corporate practice comprised of over 100 professionals in Minneapolis, Fort Worth and Phoenix focused on a wide array of workplaces, including international program delivery to corporate headquarters to tenant improvement projects. RSP’s corporate design practice currently ranks #23 in the country according to Building Design & Construction’s Top 110 Office Architecture Firms.
